چکیده

The work is devoted to the development of methods for controlling efficiency energy transfer in a composite elastic waveguide. Based on analysis scattered field at boundary stepped waveguide, formed by rigid contact two half-layers with same mechanical characteristics, but different thicknesses, main factors that affect transparency interface were established. Harmonic oscillations generated first normal wave propagating from infinity narrower half-layer considered. Mathematical difficulties posed problem are due presence local singularity stresses point change conditions hemispheres. solution built superposition method, which allows taking into account asymptotic features unknowns. quality criterion obtained was control accuracy fulfillment conjugation half-layers. attention focused establishing changing depending frequencies, symmetry oscillations, and ratio widths. It shown both symmetric antisymmetric there frequency ranges changes significantly. For types symmetry, range up critical third wave, increases rather sharply. frequencies maxima observed reflected anti-symmetric oscillations. maximum when only one can propagate This effect increase role inhomogeneous waves transmitted field. second transformation incident higher orders. In case resonance depends significantly established make it possible develop recommendations

Numerical methods for scattering by inhomogeneities in 3D elastic waveguides

e-mail: vahan.baronian, karim.jezzine, sylvain.chatillon @cea.fr ! ! Abstract Models for ultrasonic guided wave NDT are developed at CEA LIST and integrated into the CIVA platform. Models already available in CIVA 11 GWT deal with plates, cylinders, guides of arbitrary cross section, possibly multilayered. Mode computation, radiated field from different type of transducers (contact with or with...

Non-reflecting boundary conditions for waveguides

New non-reflecting boundary conditions are introduced for the solution of the Helmholtz equation in a waveguide. These boundary conditions are perfectly transparent for all propagating modes. They do not require the determination of these propagating modes but only their propagation constants. A quasi-local form of these boundary conditions is well suited as terminating boundary condition beyon...

Investigation of electrokinetic mixing in 3D non-homogenous microchannels

A numerical study of 3D electrokinetic flows through micromixers was performed. The micromixers considered here consisted of heterogeneous rectangular microchannels with prescribed patterns of zeta-potential at their walls. Numerical simulation of electroosmotic flows within heterogeneous channels requires solution of the Navier-Stokes, Ernest-Plank and species concentration equations. It is kn...
